Kids Fest in Plymouth

    The City of Plymouth will hold Kids Fest 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Hilde Performance Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd.

    A summer carnival with a splash of learning, Kids Fest returns to Plymouth featuring inflatables, games and prizes, eco-friendly activities, insects, animals, entertainment and face painting. 

    Food, snacks and beverages are available for purchase from food trucks at the event.  

    Schedule
    6-6:45 p.m. – Lowry Nature Center Raptor Show
    Guests can observe live raptors and learn about the characteristics that set them apart from other birds, as well as what makes them great hunters.

    6-9 p.m. – Games, Activities
    Games and activities will be held on the lawn at the Hilde. Game tickets cost 25 cents each, and games require one to four tickets. Unlimited wristbands are also available for purchase. Wristbands cost $7 if purchased by Monday, July 31, or $8 at the event.     6:30-7:30 p.m. – Dazzling Dave: National Yo-Yo Master
    A professional yo-yo performer and one of 16 Yo-Yo Masters officially recognized by the National Yo-Yo League, Dazzling Dave will stroll through the Hilde performing tricks and entertaining attendees. 

    7:30-8:30 p.m. – The Bazillions
    Family-friendly rock ’n’ roll group the Bazillions will perform at 7:30 p.m. during Kids Fest. This popular Twin Cities-based band is a crowd favorite, engaging children with singing and dancing. The group has released three albums – and its second, “Heads or Tales,” was honored with a 2013 Parents’ Choice Silver Honor from the Parents’ Choice Foundation.
